Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Sacramento is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had the mini chicken pot pie that came with a salad and pie. We opted to pass on the salad and they packaged it for us to take home. Very attentive service. Mini chicken pie was delicious! Took home a fresh strawberry pie. Good thing I don’t live closer, I would be there every week. Everything was delicious.

Everyone around me & my party was greeted with a smile and bad service. My party had been overlooked and never asked if we would like anything else. I sat with an empty water cup for over 20 minutes and still no response. My pasta was overcooked with no flavor. I will not come back here again

Love this place! Makes my heart happy. The best old fashioned comfort food. My favorite is the meatloaf sandwich. All pies are amazing.

Being our 1st time here, honestly it wasn't all that. We stopped by just for a slice of pie but ended ordering their Chile & Corn Bread, which was good. The Banana Cream Pie was bland, no flavor & dark pieces of bananas, but the Lemon Meringue Pie was good. We also had some of their Hot Apple Cider which was also really good. My only complaint would be the dead insect on the window of the table we were seated at. C'mon an employee could have cleaned it off.

My dad owned this place in the 90s-00s and my brothers and I used to work here. Very good memories. Besides the great food, the people and community really make this place very special, workers and customers alike. I stopped working here in 2005, but visited over the years when I'm in town. I visited March and had the half sandwich and soup combo along with a couple of Coronas. The waitress was very nice (Connie if I remember her name) and very attentive, and the place was packed! I did go during lunch time, but my goodness I was happy to see the place still thriving. The host and cashier were pleasant as they welcomed me, and the owner/manager Abraham was present and talking with and addressing the customers like they were family. I will always love a Marie Callender's but this one, and the one in Riverside (southern California) will always be my favorites to go to. I highly recommend any of the home style plates, any of the pies, especially the cream ones, and the cornbread. The only thing I will say is the breakfast isn't really their strong suit, although they do their best, probably the Quiche is the best as a breakfast item. Glad to see the decor and overall look is ke
